Running Commitment

I have set a goal this summer for working out 2-3 times a week at the gym during the evening and then also running every morning for 20 minutes then doing 100 crunches before I shower. Its not much of a workout compared to what I do at the gym. Its just a quick 20 minutes but I think it helps...plus Zoe loves to run with me in the mornings. The other day it was sprinkling outside, looking dull/cloudy, and kind of thundering. I thought for a second and then said...its ok we can do it. So me and Zoe were off. It wasn't bad at first but towards the end of the 20 minutes it actually started a light rain. I was a little concerned with my ipod but I clipped it facing in my paints (backwards) so it stayed dry (plus it has a little protective case). Other than that it was kinda fun. It was a nice summer rain that felt sort of good mixed with my sweat. Zoe is short so as she splashed through all the little puddles on the ground she got real wet. We were both enjoying it when some mean sounding thunder started and then we picked up the pace and got our little butts home.

Mr. Bones

So Im kind of addicted to this morning show called the Bobby Bones show. I listen to it every morning when Im getting ready for work. This is pretty ironic because I usually hate all morning shows and people talking in the morning so much...
But this one is actually ok. They are pretty funny. I really like the girl on the show "Amy", she has alot of the same views and opinions that I do. Anyway...this is their website www.bobbybones.com

New Yoga Lover?

Yes I think I am. I have never really participated in a good yoga class before. There was one I went to once awhile back with mostly older people and it was slow and boring. This new yoga class I went to last night was a mixture of all ages and it wasn't as easy as it looks. In the beginning and the end there is alot of stretching which feels really good but in the middle there is alot of core strengthening through poses and other exercises. I actually was sweating and breathing heavy in the middle section of the class. It was an hour long class that I took last night at my gym. Today I'm feelin pretty good. I never thought I would say this but I think I love yoga and will definitely be going next week.

One of my many favorite verses

One of my many favorite verses in the bible is Isaiah 41:10. It can also be sung as a soft song.

Fear thou not for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I
am thy God. I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I
will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

She likes to feel the wind

Here is some pics of Zoe half out the window enjoying the breeze. We were driving to Douglass at the end of the day to drop my nieces off...going about 65mph and Zoe sticking her little head out. I don't usually let Zoe stick out of the window because I am usually the ones that's driving and it concerns me that she may jump out or something. This time my Dad was driving to I let her enjoy it while I held onto her bottom just in case:)

What made my Thursday

This is the little, tiny little thing that made my day. I was on my way to work and traffic was completly stopped going all four ways at an intersection. A family of geese was crossing...a very big family. There would be the Mommy and Daddy and then like 10 babies, then again two adult geese and several more babies. This huge clan of geese all safely crossed the rode and probably only made people 5 minutes late to work. It was just so cute...and there was so many cute little babies. Its such a little thing that made my smile really big:):)

I only got a few pics towards the end. They really dont show what I saw and there was more of the adult geese at the end so you cant really see any babies in my pics. I wish I would have thought about it earlier in the crossing.

Miller Chill or Bud Light Lime?

Ok so I am a big fan of Miller Chill. It is probably one of my favorite summer drinks. I am not a big drinker by any means. I like to have a mix drink every once in awhile when I'm out with my girlfriends. I like to have a glass of wine at dinner sometimes. And in the summer when your at the lake or when me and my Dad are just chillin at home after a long week he will have a beer and I will too...usually a Miller chill. Well last weekend we went out to eat and he ordered his normal Budweiser and I ordered my normal Miller chill. The waitress came back and said they don't carry miller chill but they have bud light lime instead and it taste similar. I actually loved it. I think it may be my favorite now...

Eat much?

Well this weekend was fun...I got to spend time with my family and friends, I sold a house (which was pretty exciting!), and I ate way way too much. I went to Bone fish Friday, Sumo Saturday, and TX Roadhouse on Sunday. I didn't have to pay for any of them...and that's kinda crazy how that worked out because I usually always do. It was a very "yummy" weekend. Lol. But because all the meals were "heavy" I feel rather large and will probably be eating salads for the rest of the week (that is as soon as I finish my leftovers of course). I had steak & shrimp at bone fish, terriyaki chicken and rice at sumo, and then steak again at the roadhouse except it came with a salad and loaded potatoes. MMMmm...

Here is a picture of me and my friend Asha on Friday night after dinner.

Here are a few pictures from Fathers day. My Grandma took my Dad, myself, and my two nieces out to eat. I have such a great Dad...I need to do a whole separate post for fathers day really.

This last picture was taken from the car window. I just thought the clouds looked pretty cool. It has been storming so much here in Kansas in the last week. It seems like every other day there is a severe thunderstorm and a tornado warning.

FUNNY PET VIDEO'S

Well my Mom and I like to mess with the pets when we are bored around the house. Its very fun entertainment. The last few nights we decided to do some videos. I look horrible, in my PJ's, and have no make up on but they are so funny I just had to post them. Our poor pets…we always are messing with them…

The first video is of Zoe chewing on her bone and my Mom and I are teasing her, acting like we are going to take it. Then we start to put a sock on her head. She growls and acts tuff...

The next video is Me playing hide and seek with her. My Mom holds her while I hide. Whenever I let her find me she gets real mad and starts biting me.

This video was completely unexpected. My Mom drops an onion on the floor and Zoe starts chasing it thinking it’s a ball. You can tell when she starts to chew it she is starting to taste the onion and she shakes her head. It was soo funny!!

The New "New Kids on the Block" Song

Am I the only one that thinks this is uh weird? This video only plays their song. But the song sounds like they are young teenagers in love but they are old now. At first I thought the song said it was "just last week"...but then I looked closer at the lyrics and it says "a few years ago"...either way its not cool.
...I dont know, but it just creeps me out a little...why are they putting out a new album anyway?

New Purse:)

I got a new summer purse. Its not the Dooney & Bourke purse that I really wanted but that purse just isnt in my budget right now. So I settled for a Kathy Van Zeeland. But I really like it. The colors are different but it says "summer" when I look at it. Its large and comfty. It has a yellow Kathy crest on the front with heart bling blings hanging from the side. Its a golden yellow color with silver edges and straps. I think I love it:)

Goodmorning

For some it is very easy...for some it is very hard. For Zoe...well she likes to sleep. She has a waking up process just like we humans do. She has to stretch and yawn...
I know is Saturday Zoe, but its time to wake up...

My new earings:)

My friend Amy from CA made me these earrings. They are big and very pretty. She is a great designer. She also designs clothes. It means so much more when you know someone puts time and effort into it. I love shopping at little unique boutiques just like I love eating lunch at cute little family owned sandwich shops.

I love them Amy...thank you!

I have a very strange family...

I have way worse (Like my English? I talk like that often) pictures to share but these are recent (in the last few weeks or so)...

Summer, Ah! Feels soo Good...

I just stepped out of the office for lunch and it felt so good and so much like summer. The warm sun on my skin, my music loud in my car with all the windows down and my hair blowing, and just wearing summer sandals and sleeveless shirts feels so nice. Everything seems better in the summer. Food taste better, clothes feel better, and people seem to look better.
Here is a list of my favorites that I absolutly love about summer:
I love eating icecream from Marble Slab(preferably strawberry with fresh chopped bananas), being tan, shopping for cute summer dresses, drinking a miller chill outside on a padio while laughing with friends, riding my horse through the trees, swimming, reading a book and drinking a big ice tea, fourth of july(I love seeing all the american flags people put out on their porches. Its so silly but thats probably one of my favorite things about the 4th. The fireworks are not that big of a deal to me. I like getting together with family & friends to watch them though), flips flops, how the days seem to last longer, kissing in the warm summer rain (if I had someone to kiss, but there is always the movies), starting up a water fight, taking zoe to the land and letting her swim in the river then watching her dig holes and get all muddy, riding bikes, camping at the lake, popsicles, getting pedicures, mini vacations, how everything is so green (my absolute most favorite color), pretty flowers, my sun roof in my car, outside concerts, watermelon, summer sunsets....
Ok I could go on forever so I will stop here.
Summer blog done (I love summer!)

What's Your Personality Type?

http://www.personalitytype.com/quiz.asp

Join the millions of people who have found more satisfying careers and have improved all of their relationships, by understanding Personality Type. This quiz can also help you determine the type of your child, partner, or other important people in your life.

Instructions:

Below are four questions, and descriptions of two different lists of personality "preferences." Both lists have their own strengths and blindspots. BOTH are equally valuable -- NEITHER one is better or worse than the other.

Read both sets of descriptions for Question #1 and decide which list -- as a whole - describes you better (even if just a little better). Then click the appropriate button. Try to answer as you really are, not how you may wish you were, or have to be at work.

Continue with the other three questions and hit the "Discover Your Type" button for your results.

1. Where is your energy naturally directed?

Extraverts' energy is directed primarily outward, towards people and things outside of themselves. Introverts' energy is primarily directed inward, towards their own thoughts, perceptions, and reactions. Therefore, Extraverts tend to be more naturally active, expressive, social, and interested in many things, whereas Introverts tend to be more reserved, private, cautious, and interested in fewer interactions, but with greater depth and focus.

Extraverts often:

Have high energy
Talk more than listen
Think out loud
Act, then think
Like to be around people a lot
Prefer a public role
Can sometimes be easily distracted
Prefer to do lots of things at once
Are outgoing & enthusiastic
Introverts often:

Have quiet energy
Listen more than talk
Think quietly inside my head
Think, then act
Feel comfortable being alone
Prefer to work "behind-the-scenes"
Have good powers of concentration
Prefer to focus on one thing at a time
Are self-contained and reserved

Extravert (E) or Introvert (I)

2. What kind of information do you naturally notice and remember?

Sensors notice the facts, details, and realities of the world around them whereas Intuitives are more interested in connections and relationships between facts as well as the meaning, or possibilities of the information. Sensors tend to be practical and literal people, who trust past experience and often have good common sense. Intuitives tend to be imaginative, theoretical people who trust their hunches and pride themselves on their creativity.

Sensors often:

Focus on details & specifics
Admire practical solutions
Notice details & remember facts
Are pragmatic - see what is
Live in the here-and-now
Trust actual experience
Like to use established skills
Like step-by-step instructions
Work at a steady pace
Intuitives often:

Focus on the big picture & possibilities
Admire creative ideas
Notice anything new or different
Are inventive - see what could be
Think about future implications
Trust their gut instincts
Prefer to learn new skills
Like to figure things out for themselves
Work in bursts of energy

Sensor (S) or Intuitive (N)

3. How do you decide or come to conclusions?

Thinkers make decisions based primarily on objective and impersonal criteria--what makes the most sense and what is logical. Feelers make decisions based primarily on their personal values and how they feel about the choices. So, Thinkers tend to be cool, analytical, and are convinced by logical reasoning. Feelers tend to be sensitive, empathetic, and are compelled by extenuating circumstances and a constant search for harmony.

Thinkers often:

Make decisions objectively
Appear cool and reserved
Are most convinced by rational arguments
Are honest and direct
Value honesty and fairness
Take few things personally
Tend to see flaws
Are motivated by achievement
Argue or debate issues for fun
Feelers often:

Decide based on their values & feelings
Appear warm and friendly
Are most convinced by how they feel
Are diplomatic and tactful
Value harmony and compassion
Take many things personally
Are quick to compliment others
Are motivated by appreciation
Avoid arguments and conflicts

Thinker (T) or Feeler (F)

4. What kind of environment makes you the most comfortable?

Judgers prefer a structured, ordered, and fairly predictable environment, where they can make decisions and have things settled. Perceivers prefer to experience as much of the world as possible, so they like to keep their options open and are most comfortable adapting. So, Judgers tend to be organized and productive while Perceivers tend to be flexible, curious, and nonconforming.

Judgers often:

Make most decisions pretty easily
Are serious & conventional
Pay attention to time & are prompt
Prefer to finish projects
Work first, play later
Want things decided
See the need for most rules
Like to make & stick with plans
Find comfort in schedules
Perceivers often:

May have difficulty making decisions
Are playful & unconventional
Are less aware of time & run late
Prefer to start projects
Play first, work later
Want to keep their options open
Question the need for many rules
Like to keep plans flexible
Want the freedom to be spontaneous

Judger (J) or Perceiver (P)

My Results:

Life as an ENTJ
(Extravert, Intuitive, Thinker, Judger)

People of this type tend to be: friendly, strong willed, and outspoken; honest, logical and demanding of selves and others; driven to demonstrate competence; creative with a global perspective; decisive, organized, and efficient.

The most important thing to ENTJs is demonstrating their competence and making important things happen.
