Underwater Photoshoot

In my materials and props class we had to make cubes out of foamcore. Then we brought in props, "products", and fabric for our photoshoot. We had to come up with a theme for it and use props accordingly. We shot the pictures ourselves and then plugged it into photoshop to tweak it.

Here is my final photo I decided to go with...

Here is my actual final photo I turned in after photoshop...

Wine Bottling

Our close friends that live out here make wine every year. In the fall there is the wine crush (which was tons of fun) where you actually start with the grapes. Then in the spring we have wine bottling from the wine that was crushed the year before. I took some pictures of the different stages in our wine bottling set up.

First, you take the bottles and fill them up...

Next, you take some wine out with droppers and level it to the right amount...

Then someone corks the bottle...

Then someone wipes it with ani-bacterial...

Then someone wipes it dry and puts the cap on...

Then someone uses the cap machine to seal the cap on tight...

Then someone labels it...

Then someone puts it in the cartons...

Finishing Touches...

And All Done!

Jai Ho!

Ok so my friends and I went to this little underground club in San Francisco that has Indian dancing once a month. Let me tell you...it was soo much fun! It is Indian music mixed with current day rap music and the DJ's were soo good. They mixed the sickest beats! There was a guy that has a big drum strapped to him and he came out on the middle of the dance floor and played. Then at the end, they had a rapper come out and flow (and he was really good!). We took some pictures but let me warn you....we were dripping with sweat! So we were not all that cute but we didnt even care...we were dancing the entire time.

By the way...Have you seen the movie Slumdog Millionaire? If you havnt you should. I thought it was a very good movie. It was very well put together, great music (I bought the soundtrack), great actors & actresses (especially the little kids), and it dipicted that part of India well.

Here is one of my favorites songs from the soundtrack. The original song "Jai Ho" is done by A.R. Rahman....they also have one that is a re-make he did with the Pussycat dolls (ugh). The original is soo much better...
Here it is...

This is another one of my favorites...

Since we went Indian dancing we were asking my friend Marys' friends from school (which are Indian) everything about it. He sent her some videos of some cool Indian dancing so we would know a little what to expect prior to going. Here are some of the videos...

This one is a music video I liked

This one is some kids dancing at some sort of performance

Jordans Visit

My little neice, Jordan came to visit me and it was very happy times. I shouldnt say my "little neice" anymore...because even though she is 8 years younger than me she will be graduated from highschool in just a few weeks and making plans for her near future with colleges and such. Anyway...she came to visit and we were just like two peas in a pod or however you say it.

Here is on the ferry boat leaving San Francisco and heading to Angel Island. We passed by the golden gate bridge, the bay bridge, and Alcatraz Island.

And here are the pics from Angel Island. We went on a pretty long hike up to the top and got a sweet view. Most of the pics are from our hike but there are a few taken in the visitor center.
