My Cuzzy

A picture of Me and Tisha...one of my best friends. She is amazing. She has been apart of our bible fellowship, a big part of my life, and a fun cousin to be around. She has two little ones and works full time but somehow always manages to be there for me whenever I need to talk. I try to be as good of a friend to her as she has to me. We usually go to lunch about once a week, go out together once in awhile, and of course see each other at all the family events. Love you Tish...I'm going to miss you!

Someone Else is Going Away...

My nephew Caleb is someone who I am very close to. He is the oldest out of my brothers kids and we are just six years apart. When we were little we played together all the time. Caleb has grown up into a wonderful young man who I am very proud of. He is still just 17 so I want to knock his teeth out sometimes when he gets stupid ideas but I love him to death. Even though we have gotten older we still see each other all the time. Me and Caleb actually have our own special time together once a week when we have our bible study. We have been doing it for about a year now. He is one of my best friends, my nephew, and my brother in Christ. He has decided to enlist in the marines and he leaves for boot camp in September, a month after I leave for CA. Before he made his decision I tried to persuade him otherwise and I'm not going to lie...when I found out that he enlisted I was very upset. But now that he has made the commitment I support him 100%. I am very proud of my new US Marine and I will love him times a billion forever!!

Our Body

WARNING: This may not be suitable for everyone...

My family went to the "Our Body" Exhibit at the Exploration Place last week. It was pretty interesting. They had actual human bodies and organs on display. It sounds gross but it was actually really educational and interesting. I don't think your suppose to take pictures in there however my little nephew decided to anyway with my camera. He must have been really sneaky about it because I didn't even know he did until later on. Here are a few of the pics:

A Big Move

I'm about to move to San Jose CA for 1-2 years and I'm super excited. To sum it all up I will be living with some wonderful people, studying the bible, working part time, and going to school full time at FIDM in the San Fransisco campus as a design major. I leave here early on August 6th. I am driving my car there for the 2 1/2 days it takes to get there which is 24-26 hrs a total of 1630 miles. I am really excited about the drive. I have never done anything like this before. Honestly I have driven to Kansas City by myself and that's about it. But I will be okay...maps, coffee, and prayers will get me there just fine. My house is being rented during the time I am gone to my #1 best friend and cousin, Tisha. She is amazing and I couldn't ask for someone better to rent my house that I trust 100%. All of my furniture and the rest of my crap is in storage. That's another thing...seriously I am only 23 and I have so much "stuff"...its ridiculous. You don't know how much stuff you have until you move. I moved in with my mom for the summer before I leave. I'm pretty much just taking my clothes and some books with me...whatever will fit in my car. I had to give away my kitty Mia and that's all I'm going to say about that because it makes me sad. My doggy Zoe is staying with my parents and my horse Meg will be ridden by my parents and nieces while I'm gone. Hopefully Zoe and Meg wont forget me.
I am staying in a house with 3 other people that all attend the same bible fellowship called Bayside Fellowship. I will be studying alot and growing my relationship with God by just surrounding my self in that kind of environment and soaking up the Word. I am also really excited about going back to school. FIDM has been my dream college since I was 13. It is the top design school in the nation for Fashion Design and other majors. My major will be Visual Communications. If you are interested in more info about my school go to www.fidm.com. I am not sure where I am going to work yet. It will be just part time wherever it will be. I may have an opportunity to still work for my current employer via email/internet which would be awesome if it works out. My real estate license will still remain active until I get back but while I am in CA I will be referring all of my clients to my Mom who has been a realtor for 16 years. My mail is all going to my Moms but if something is sent to my house it will end up getting to me because my cousin lives there. I am keeping the same Verizon cell phone # and I have unlimited calling and texting so feel free to message me! My housing program is from Aug 10th 08-June 1st 09 and my schooling is from Oct 08-Oct 09. Im not sure where I will be living after June 09 but it will all be worked out by then and I will live wherever God guides me to. I may come home for the summer but I am not sure yet. I am for sure about coming home for two weeks in December though. Part of my heart will be left in Kansas but the rest of it will go with me to explore new adventures. It will be a big step for me because I have never been away from my family before. It will be hard at first but I will be around some really wonderful people. I am so excited!!
